FSCM COVID-19 Update:
3/17/20 7:00pm Effective immediately MII has made the difficult decision to close both MIA and Hartmeyer. Both rinks will remain closed thru April 6th at which time they will reevaluate the situation.
All skaters will be refunded for any contracted sessions for March 18 – March 31st. Again, please be patient, we are all volunteers with families and work. Questions about refunds please contact Laura Franzen-Elmer, FSCMTreasurer@gmail.com .
If your skater has things in the club room they would like to retrieve they may pick them up tomorrow, Wednesday March 18th, 10am - 2pm. If those times do not work, please contact Amy Schellpfeffer at FSCMadisonMembers@gmail.com to arrange another time.
We will do our best to keep you all updated as time goes on. Again, we can’t thank you enough for being so understanding as we navigate the unknown day to day.
In addition, the club is taking the following measures:
The club room has been thoroughly cleaned and rearranged to encourage social distancing and will be sanitized daily at the end of club ice.
Skaters and any others who are SICK IN ANY WAY or who have family members/close personal contacts who are SICK IN ANY WAY should not come to the rink.
Skaters and any others coming to the rink must wash their hands with soap and water regularly and when soap and water is not available use hand sanitizer.
Skaters are reminded to not touch their face and cough/sneeze into their elbow (not hands).
Skaters and any others coming to the rink must maintain a distance of 6 feet between themselves and others (including not standing at the boards of the rink socializing).
Skaters should not to congregate in the club room, you may use the room to put on and remove your skates but not spend extended periods of time there.
Club ice will be limited to FSCM 1st and 2nd club members and contracted non-members only.
Only on-ice participants and coaches are allowed to be at the rink (parents may not congregate in the club room, lobby, or stands, but may wait in the parking lot for their skater).
Skaters may be dropped off 15 minutes prior to the start of their ice time (no earlier) and must be picked up immediately following their ice time.
Ice monitors should review the contract book then leave after the building after the first 10 minutes of the session when all skaters have been checked in or circled.
Based on this, if a coach, board member, or ice monitor believe a skater or family member is not complying with any of these stated guidelines they may tell the skater/family to leave the rink.
Skaters who do not feel comfortable/safe coming to the rink or who are SICK IN ANY WAY or have a family member/close personal contact who is SICK IN ANY WAY can request a refund for their contracted sessions. Please contact Laura Franzen-Elmer at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a refund for sessions you will not be skating. Please be patient as there may be numerous requests and our volunteer treasurer is a full time working parent.
We will delay posting April contracts until further notice.
FSC of Madison will keep you updated as we receive more information and/or any changes in guidelines. Please contact us if you have any questions: email@example.com
Sincerely, FSC of Madison Board
