Coaches

The Figure Skating Club of Madison follows U.S. Figure Skating and Professional Skaters Association coaching requirements to help ensure that we are providing proper instruction and a safe environment for our skaters. The Club verifies coaching eligibility at annual membership renewal time and for coach participation in U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned tests and competitions. There are four requirements for coaches: U.S. Figure Skating membership, U.S. Figure Skating Core Certified Coach & U.S. Figure Skating Coach I.C.E., coaches registration with the FSC of Madison, and Continuing Education Requirement compliance. Hiring A Private Coach

Our coaches use contemporary on and off-ice training techniques. For example, our coaches utilize on-ice and off-ice training harnesses.

Prospective coaches please visit our membership page for details about membership requirements and approval process.

Note: Coaches must meet current eligibility requirements as posted by US Figure Skating to participate in a sanctioned event or test session. If a coach does not meet the requirements in time for a sanctioned event held by the Figure Skating Club of Madison, we will inform the coach of their ineligibility and ask that the coach leave all coaching areas of the event.
